A worthy event – Tick or Treat benefit for the Haarman family
I will be volunteering at a benefit on October 31 at the Ritz Theater for the Haarman family – a mom, dad and two boys who are all struggling with chronic illness. I would love to see you there. You can also check out the web site, below, for details and on-line auction information.
In any case, please think about ways that you can reach out to people in your community who need a helping hand.
Tick or Treat web page
From the web site: “Tick” or Treat, a Halloween-themed event for all ages featuring music, dancing, improvisational performances, a costume parade, cake-walk, refreshments, a silent auction, and more, is a fundraiser for a Minneapolis family struggling with chronic Lyme disease. Despite the seriousness of the event’s mission, it will be a light-hearted and festive occasion, a chance for friends and strangers to come together in the spirit of mutual aid and cooperation, to celebrate our capacity to accomplish much good when we all pitch in together. It takes place on October 31, 1–5 p.m., at the Ritz Theater, 345 13th Ave. NE, Minneapolis.
